Between Streetwear and Luxury: Palm Angels at Ottodisanpietro

Collaboration between Palm Angels and Barcelona-based artist Javier Jaén

In only four years Palm Angels proved to be one of the most groundbreaking promises in the world of fashion, bringing the freshness of streetwear to luxury, along with brands like Off-White, creating a unique atmosphere and language.

Originally, Palm Angels was the title that Francesco Ragazzi —founder of the brand and current artistic director of Moncler— gave to a photography book collecting photographs of Los Angeles skateboard scene. A year later, by the end of 2015, Ragazzi decided to re-imagine that lifestyle in a debut collection that combined 1970s prep with the independent culture of Los Angeles, bringing the craftsmanship that defines top designers to sweatshirts, T-shirts and accessories.

Its spirit and disruptive approach quickly turned Palm Angels into a global phenomenon. Today, the designer’ s plan for the brand is to go further. Although sports-inspired garments are still a key part, his latest collection features a strong inclination towards tailoring and a mixed visual language. Ragazzi’s latest offering also introduced the collaboration with the Barcelona-based artist Javier Jaén; graphics full of irony in the line of the satirical collaborative collection Palm Angels by Palm Angels.

Under the umbrella of New Guards Group (the holding that partly owns Off-White, Heron Preston and Marcelo Burlon), Palm Angels is setting trends for a new audience by opening a dialogue between luxury and streetwear. You can discover its latest collection now in-store and online.
