In its Spring/Summer 2021 runway show, the Maison Celine has illustrated the change that the fashion industry is undergoing in the so-called post-pandemic era. From the hand of Hedi Slimane has come the revolution of sophistication, with a sensational collection that fuses the decade of the 90s with the renowned Parisian style.
The collection was presented in Monaco's immense -and empty- Louis II stadium with the House's logo spray-painted on the floor, and was filmed with drones emphasising that the models walked without an audience on the large runway to the beat of electronic music.
Once again, Celine is leading the way for the most innovative trends for next summer, which fit in perfectly with the times we are living in. The 'modern cool kid' style is here to stay; Slimane designs for the current woman, incorporating sports wear elements to the signature je-ne-sais-quois of the House.
In this captivating collection we find straight jeans, short jackets, oversized blazers, sports tops, cropped T-shirts and baseball caps combined with Chelsea boots and sneakers. The style icons change, paying homage to the young and casual look that seeks to bring comfort to our daily life.
