JUANA DE VEGA, A CORUÑA
OUR BOUTIQUES
Two spaces dedicated to the extraordinary

JUANA DE VEGA 6, A CORUÑA
WOMEN'S BOUTIQUE
May 2024 marked the beginning of a new era for OTTODISANPIETRO. After 38 years located in the same street in A Coruña, the women's shop and accessories (until now separate) are united in a new space, in a new street, Juana de Vega.
This project, the work of the Elsa Urquijo studio, was born out of a desire to grow and renew itself. In a space that invites the client, it transmits stillness and authentic beauty through tones, textures and shapes, with "luxury without ostentation" as its motto.

JUANA DE VEGA 23, A CORUÑA
MEN'S BOUTIQUE
Forty years after first opening its doors, OTTODISANPIETRO marks a new chapter a new menswear store on Juana de Vega, facing the brand's womenswear location across one of A Coruña's busiest corners. The opening closes signals, once again, a company that keeps pace with what the needs of the present.
Light sets the tone throughout as an organising principle of the whole space, shaping how materials, volumes and movement come together. Clay brings a sense of calm, wood lends warmth, metal gives the structure its backbone, wool adds a layer of comfort and fine light threads through all of it, shifting the atmosphere as the day moves on.

FASHION AND ART
Following in the footsteps of the previous spaces, this new shop could not fail to include the presence of art. In collaboration with Galería Vilaseco, the boutique has opened its doors with pieces by artists such as Gloria García Lorca, Álvaro Negro and Antonio Murado.
The work that welcomes visitors to Juana de Vega 6 is a ephemeral work by Gloria García Lorca, made especially for the opening of OTTODISANPIETRO. This unique piece of art is the first contact with the art in store, which will continue throughout the tour of the new space.
In this new project, the boundaries between fashion and art merge and come together in a harmony that makes us appreciate even more the specialness of a space that marks a new stage for us.
FASHION AND ART
OUR ARTISTS
The artist Gloria García Lorca, was born in NY during her family's exile, where she studied Literature and Art. In 1967 she began her activity as an artist in Spain.
Currently, her work is part of private, international and public collections. His sculptures, installations and site-specific pieces are always the result of images close to the organic forms we see in nature and also those that have remained in the memory.
On display at our women's entrance is the work “A flote” (2024), made specifically for the opening of the store. The work is composed of 455 A4 pages hand-cut by the artist, which simulate the waves of the sea.
Sonia Navarro Peralta (Puerto Lumbreras, Murcia, 1975) is a Spanish artist specialising in textile art. She graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Granada and completed a master's in Photography at the Centro Internacional de Fotografía y Cine (EFTI) in Madrid. In 2023, she received the BMW Painting Prize for her work "Redes I".
Her work draws on thread and fabric to honour the quiet, everyday labour of women throughout history, reinterpreting textiles, patterns and traditional craft techniques through painting, sculpture and installation. Her pieces are held in collections including the Museo Reina Sofía, Spain's Ministry of Culture, and the University of Granada.
Antonio Murado (Lugo, 1964) graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca. From very early on he was known for his work and in 1995 he obtains the Unión Fenosa - MACUF Grant for Artistic Creation Abroad, enjoying a stay in New York, where he will settle definitively.
Murado is considered by the specialized critics as one of the Spanish painters of greater international projection, with an artistic project that has been the object of numerous individual exhibitions in countries like Germany, Canada or the USA.
Jean Prouvé (Nancy, France, 1901 – 1984) was a self-taught French architect, engineer and designer, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures of twentieth-century design. Trained as a blacksmith, he built his career on an intimate knowledge of metal, moving from wrought iron to folded steel and aluminium to create furniture and buildings defined by economy of means, structural logic and a strong social conscience.
In 1947 he established his workshop in Maxéville, near Nancy, where he developed prefabricated housing systems, façade panels and furniture for schools, hospitals and offices, pioneering the shift from craft-based construction to industrial production. His work is held in collections including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and MoMA in New York.
On display as you enter our menswear space, you will be met with one of his famed Facade Panel series in the form of juxtaposed aluminum plates.
Anna Franke is a German artist whose practice evolved from illustration and collage into painting and sculpture, shaped by years of travel through Andalusia, Morocco and ultimately Galicia, where she settled. The raw, shifting landscape of the Costa da Morte (its light, rock formations and the constant movement of the Atlantic) has become a defining influence on her visual language.
Her work exposes textiles to the elements, leaving them in the landscape for weeks at a time to be shaped by wind, rain and sunlight, exploring states of friction, gravity and transformation between body, material and nature.
On display is Friction, an installation developed in the arid volcanic landscape of Cabo de Gata, where fabric forms were left exposed to the elements over several months before being brought into the space.
