JUANA DE VEGA 6, A CORUÑA
WOMEN'S BOUTIQUE
May 2024 marked the beginning of a new era for OTTODISANPIETRO. After 38 years located in the same street in A Coruña, the women's shop and accessories (until now separate) are united in a new space, in a new street, Juana de Vega.
This project, the work of the Elsa Urquijo studio, was born out of a desire to grow and renew itself. In a space that invites the client, it transmits stillness and authentic beauty through tones, textures and shapes, with "luxury without ostentation" as its motto.
ACCESSORIES
On the ground floor is the accessories area, where we can find perfumes and household items, bags, shoes and other accessories from top international fashion designers such as The Row, Bottega Veneta and Prada, among others.

FASHION AND ART
Following in the footsteps of the previous spaces, this new shop could not fail to include the presence of art. In collaboration with Galería Vilaseco, the boutique has opened its doors with pieces by artists such as Gloria García Lorca, Álvaro Negro and Antonio Murado.
The work that welcomes visitors to Juana de Vega 6 is a ephemeral work by Gloria García Lorca, made especially for the opening of OTTODISANPIETRO. This unique piece of art is the first contact with the art in store, which will continue throughout the tour of the new space.
In this new project, the boundaries between fashion and art merge and come together in a harmony that makes us appreciate even more the specialness of a space that marks a new stage for us.
GLORIA GARCÍA LORCA
The artist Gloria García Lorca, was born in NY during her family's exile, where she studied Literature and Art. In 1967 she began her activity as an artist in Spain.
Currently, her work is part of private, international and public collections. His sculptures, installations and site-specific pieces are always the result of images close to the organic forms we see in nature and also those that have remained in the memory.
On display at our entrance is the work “A flote” (2024), made specifically for the opening of the store. The work is composed of 455 A4 pages hand-cut by the artist, which simulate the waves of the sea.
ÁLVARO NEGRO
Álvaro Negro was born in Lalín in 1973. In his professional career he stands out for the analysis of the pictorial genre without losing sight of historical issues that, by similarity and contrast, are relevant to his contemporary status.
In his works we can find references to light in Renaissance painting, an awareness of color with respect to its historical connotations, a formal deployment beyond the painting, and a constant concern for the modulation of space and architecture.
His images are rooted in the spatio-temporal question, and although they are often abstract, they establish a link with everyday experiences.
ANTONIO MURADO
Antonio Murado (Lugo, 1964) graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca. From very early on he was known for his work and in 1995 he obtains the Unión Fenosa - MACUF Grant for Artistic Creation Abroad, enjoying a stay in New York, where he will settle definitively.
Murado is considered by the specialized critics as one of the Spanish painters of greater international projection, with an artistic project that has been the object of numerous individual exhibitions in countries like Germany, Canada or the USA.
LOLA RIVIÈRE
Lola Rivière is a ceramist who stands out for her subtlety in texture and color, with pieces of a simplicity rich in nuances, without ornamentation, of a strictly sensory aesthetic and of a purely functional beauty.
She is a craftswoman linked to the craft, with a long trajectory that goes back to her childhood. Throughout the various episodes of her artistic career, she has always been captivated by experimentation on the ceramic surface, searching for the simplest form to transform it with subtle textures and colors.
In addition to the simplicity and craft that her pieces transmit, hers is also a conceptual work that appeals to live and feel the link with history; they are pieces that could have been found in an archaeological excavation.
TEO SORIANO
Teo Soriano studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Salamanca and Pontevedra, training that expanded with the assistance in numerous and diverse workshops in Galicia and Madrid.
His first exhibition dates from 1985 in A Coruña entitled “Las Algas”. From then on, his work begins to be found in individual and collective exhibitions organized by galleries, museums and art centers throughout Spain; and has been exhibited on the stands of numerous national and international fairs such as Arco (Madrid), Art Chicago (Chicago), Art Madrid (Madrid), The Armony Show (N.Y.).
