A Surprising New Chapter, With Élida Nogueira

We sat down with Élida Nogueira, founder of OTTODISANPIETRO, to discuss the company’s new chapter. The opening of the new menswear store marks a fresh beginning for a project now celebrating forty years.

The walls, the stucco and the windows reflect a natural evolution. Each element is the result of a history built around curation, aesthetic sensitivity and a close relationship with the client.

In this conversation, we explore what it means to build a multi-brand space today, why opening a physical store still matters in a context dominated by digital speed, and how the identity of A Coruña continues to shape the visual and emotional universe of OTTODISANPIETRO.

Throughout the interview, you will also be able to enjoy a virtual visit through our new menswear and womenswear spaces.

A Surprising New Chapter, With Élida Nogueira

A New Chapter for OTTODISANPIETRO

How different is it to conceive a multi-brand space for women and for men?

Very different, menswear is more fun. In visual merchandising, just as in womenswear, you always want to seduce. With menswear collections, you know from the beginning that shaping fashion silhouettes is a challenge, and when you do not yet know the customer profile, the process of defining it becomes incredibly stimulating.

Men in fashion are like the moon: everything is still left to discover.

How do forty years of experience materialise within this new space?

Forty years teach you what you want to achieve. We are very clear about who we are and what our direction is.

What aspects of A Coruña’s identity can be seen in the new spaces?

Cosmopolitan, forward-thinking, that is what A Coruña is today.

What is the process behind building a window display?

Presenting each designer’s proposals selectively, through the point of view that defines us.

Do you search for inspiration, or does it find you?

The looks I am going to present suggest the inspiration to me. Everything I do has to help underline the concept.

What do you most like hearing from clients and passers-by?

I visited the store and the service was incredible.” Our teams are an extremely important asset within the company. I will not say they are the most important, because that would be our clients, but they are the people who make everything possible.

And from the brands?

Well, I do not know if I like hearing it, but it is true that we repeatedly hear that we curate our buying selection very well.

What role would you like OTTODISANPIETRO to play in this new era?

What I want is for it to play, and personally I will work as hard as necessary to make sure we play a good match.

What stories do you hope OTTODISANPIETRO will tell on its journey towards fifty years?

I truly love my job. I like giving my maximum, but I do not dream on a grand scale. The achievements of everyday life already feel like success to me.
