LA CROISIÈRE: THE LATEST FROM JACQUEMUS
Jacquemus returns to Paris Fashion Week with "La Croisière." This collection bridges past and present, blending the glamour of Hollywood’s golden era with the contemporary craftsmanship behind the brand. And starting this month, it is now available at OTTODISANPIETRO. Find it here.
The Spring/Summer 2025 by Simon Porte Jacquemus presents a panoramic exploration of essential forms: a balance between radical minimalism and classic Greek draping. His designs remain sculptural, sensual, and sophisticated.
With light yet geometric silhouettes, "La Croisière" is an exercise in duality, where sharp architectural structures meet the romanticism of the maison.
A cinematic experience
With a mid-century influence, the runway show revisits post-war optimism and the glamour of the 1950s, modernized with sharper, more contemporary tailoring. Cinched-waist cotton poplin dresses, fluid tulle skirts, and sculpted bustiers create a collection that feels both familiar and radically new for the house.
The collection plays with geometric precision, evident in the curved Ovalo sleeves and structured waistlines, softened by the fluidity that defines Jacquemus' aesthetic.
As always, Jacquemus starts with a narrative experience. To deepen this concept, the entire show was filmed using an iPhone 16 Pro Max, marking yet another milestone for the brand and the fashion industry.
For men, too
For menswear, Jacquemus remains true to its sporty yet refined DNA. The collection features double-breasted blazers and slim trousers, inspired by 20th-century American sportswear and business attire. But with an unmistakably French touch.
One of the standout pieces was a zebra-print jacket with a high collar and oversized silhouette. Structured yet relaxed, sophisticated yet modern.
In womenswear, one of the most striking garments was a long, high-neck faux crocodile dress in white. Its silhouette radiates elegance, while the contrast of curly white shearling sleeves adds a tactile dimension, a signature Jacquemus detail. Discover more here.
Many dresses were paired with a layered belt—a recurring accessory in bold textures like red crocodile, banana yellow, and beige. It reinforced one of the essential elements of the collection: the waist. Throughout the show, tailoring for both men and women emphasized structured, cinched silhouettes.
Ultimately, "La Croisière" is a new sensory exploration for the brand. The color palette—ecru, black, and beige—punctuated by bursts of red, green, orange, and banana yellow. Meanwhile, textures add depth: sheer organza, lightweight knits, fibrous raffia, and ostrich feathers create a tactile spectacle that is both delicate and dramatic.
Flocked polka dots and stripes introduce a playful element, while bold accessories reinforce the collection’s structure.
Le Turismo: the latest Jacquemus bag sensation
Jacquemus continues its iconic approach to accessories, this time with its own interpretation of the bowling bag. One of the largest bags in its lineup, the Le Turismo Jacquemus is, as its name suggests, made for travel—either to the office or across the world.
Its grained leather and robust structure make it an ideal travel companion. Discover it here.
The return of Jacquemus' famous Duelo heels, with geometric details and sharp triangular toes, highlights the sharp angles and defined silhouettes that contrast with the flowing lines of the collection.
The show concluded with a signature Jacquemus element: nostalgia. Set to the sound of Édith Piaf’s "Mon Dieu,"the music deepened the emotional impact, transporting the audience through time.
Jacquemus has always played with history. But with "La Croisière," he doesn’t simply emulate it—he defines it. The collection reimagines the past and integrates it into the present, reviving forgotten mid-century glamour but presenting it through a fully contemporary lens.
Jacquemus has entered a new phase—one of tailoring, innovation, and timelessness.
"La Croisière" marks a new beginning for a brand that is actively shaping fashion history.
