THE STYLE OF SEX AND THE CITY
What would Carrie Bradshaw wear if she shopped at OTTODISANPIETRO?
Over two decades since its debut, HBO’s Sex and the City remains a fashion reference point in our collective imagination. But it wasn’t just about outfits – it was about the style behind each character. Their intentions, their wit, their desires.
Costume designer Patricia Field captured each personality flawlessly, curating wardrobes that spoke as loudly as the dialogue. The result: some of the most iconic looks in fashion history. If the series taught us anything, it’s that clothes don’t just reflect who we are – they show who we want to become. Even when we don’t quite know it yet.

Today, imagining what they would wear in 2025 feels like a nostalgic game. What would the Sex and the City women wear if they shopped at OTTODISANPIETRO? Which brands would tell the story of their new lives, new loves, and of course, their latest crises?
We found the answers. From the contemporary elegance of The Row to the Mediterranean sensuality of Jacquemus, we trace the brands and trends that would fit Carrie as perfectly as a size 7.5 stiletto.
Carrie Bradshaw’s Style
The group’s original fashionista. Carrie represents creativity, Wildean wit, and a refusal to settle for the obvious. She dressed the way she wrote: with humour, irony, risk and yearning. Her fashion sense always pulsed with emotional truth. For her, clothes were storytelling. In 2025, Carrie would be drawn to Loewe, a universe of sculptural silhouettes, artistic references and craftsmanship – a brand that questions and expresses, just like she does.
Thanks to her Galliano-era looks, we know she’d also be obsessed with Maison Margiela. That deconstructed, experimental energy speaks to her constant reinvention. For her more romantic moods, Chloé or Victoria Beckham would be her go-to – refined femininity with a modern edge.
Naturally, Celine (available in-store only) and Alaïa would sit proudly in her wardrobe, ready for brunches and those (complicated) Big encounters. And for Soho House queues or book signings, Aquazzura heels would be a no-brainer. She’d probably throw in a sandal or two from The Row and Loewe, too.
Samantha Jones
The risk-taker who always wins. Samantha never asked for permission. Her style speaks just like she does – boldly, clearly, and unapologetically. She strides through life with power, urging us to live authentically, judgement-free. In 2025, she still rules the statement look. Think fiery reds, shimmering golds, electric blues and vibrant greens.
Samantha would beeline straight for La DoubleJ or Jacquemus: daring cuts, joyful prints and unshakable confidence woven into every piece. For boardroom moments and PR showdowns for Smith's roles, she’d reach for Saint Laurent or Gucci – classic luxury with punch.
For glamorous nights out, Atlein and Alaïa would be her temples: sharp silhouettes, intelligent sensuality, and designs made for women who fear nothing. Just like her. Let’s not forget LA Samantha, or her Upstate escapes – there, she’d shine in relaxed looks by La DoubleJ, Mother Denim, and cropped Gucci tops.
Miranda Hobbes
Pragmatic? Maybe. But always ahead of the curve. Beneath her rational exterior, Miranda held a forward-thinking vision that shines through her fashion choices. In 2025, she’s all about refined, cerebral minimalism. Clean lines, muted tones, garments with purpose. Enter: The Row, Max Mara, Lemaire.
For long days at the firm – and much-needed coffee breaks – Max Mara, Tibi and Jil Sander offer effortless sophistication, built to empower rather than constrain. Understated tailoring, exquisite construction and noble fabrics. Miranda dresses with intention, à la Amy Smilovic’s philosophy at Tibi.
But even Miranda loves to turn heads now and again. When she does, think full Bottega Veneta looks, topped with a striking Saint Laurent coat.
Charlotte York
The romantic through and through. Charlotte’s style has always been a perfect portrait of her nature: ladylike, delicate and timeless – and in 2025, that’s still true. Her love for feminine detail, fitted waists and powdery pastels finds new expression in Miu Miu and Self-Portrait.
For gallery afternoons and committee meetings, she’d lean into the modern grace of Victoria Beckham or Celine – brands that marry tradition with contemporary polish. Her looks always exude calm, taste and restraint. Charlotte is always, unfailingly appropriate.
Out and about with Elizabeth Taylor (her beloved spaniel), Charlotte would opt for Moncler’s luxe padded jackets in Central Park. For school functions, a pencil skirt, soft knit polo and Prada cardigan would be just the thing.
But even in a world of creams and blush tones, Charlotte knows when to make a statement. Bottega Veneta’s quiet richness or a splash of Valentino’s joyful colour would take her ladylike looks to unforgettable heights.
