Founded in 1996 in Stockholm by Jonny Johansson, its name—originally Associated Computer Nerd Enterprises—was later redefined as Ambition to Create Novel Expressions, anticipating its mission: to expand the boundaries of contemporary aesthetics.
From its first pairs of raw denim Acne Studios jeans with red stitching to its current runway shows in Paris, the identity of Acne Studios has always remained transversal.
